LUCY OLIVIA WARD is a freelance cosmetic makeup artist and professional hair stylist. With over 10 years of experience within the beauty industry. Combining her passion and flair for exquisite makeup she can create fresh makeup looks for special occasions, personalised makeup lessons, bridal makeup and hairstyling in Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey and London.
Lucy’s training began in Art & Design creating theatrical makeup for art and performance. Alongside her makeup she developed a passion for creating new looks through hair styling and attended Loréal Academy London. Seeing the face, hair, skin and body as a canvas of possibility she started focusing on real women and how to make them radiate beauty through make-up & skin care. She graduated in Health & Beauty Management winning Makeup Artist and Skin Care Expert of the year, then studied further to become an Image Consultant to enrich her knowledge of colour and style for women. Since, she has been trained by top makeup artists in fashion makeup at Londons AOFM and undertook a course in Extreme Lashes application to build on her repertoire of skills.
Lucy only uses elite brands and products to create your desired look including Laura Mercier, NARS, Chanel, Mac, Jane Iredale, Shu Uemura, By Terry, Benefit, Bobby Brown and Chantecaille. Her makeup is best described as flawless skin, radiant complexion and understated glamour. Her inspiration has come from the likes of Bridget Bardot, Audrey Hepburn and Rosamund Pike for their radiant, polished make up looks and their confident sophistication. “Makeup should be a fun aspect of being a woman and a way to reflect your personality and look beautiful, the possibilities are endless” says Lucy.

A lesson in makeup is a must for all, sometimes a refresh is required, you simply may not wear makeup because you don’t know where to start, there may be look you love that you wish you could do. There are plenty of reasons why every woman should have a makeup lesson but the most important reason is when we make a little effort or more, we look better and feel more beautiful within. I like to treat my makeup lessons as a joint effort. I do one side and you the other. We use a variety of make up brands from high street stores as I believe there are great products in many product lines. If you have a makeup bag of products I encourage you to bring this along with you. It is great for me to get an idea of what you like to use and don’t use. My lessons are not to try and sell you products it’s to give you the skill, confidence and advice to simple recreate a beautiful makeup. A look that compliments your natural features, complexion and work with your lifestyle.
